GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Shri Paramanand Ashram is dedicated to Vedic values and ideals . Its aim is to preserve the Vedic ethos in the lives of its members and followers.
  • One of the primary goals of the great saints and gurus of the Ashram has been to teach the value of Vedic ideas and ideals and their relevance to modern life and society.
  • The practice of penances, dissemination of scriptural knowledge, training in authentic Karma-kanda or ritualistic worship, and explaining its ability to augment personal as well social welfare is another important goal of its daily activities.
  • Observance of Satya (Truth), Ahimsa (nonviolence), Brahmcharya (celibacy), Aprigraha (Non-Greediness), Asteya (No stealing), is the first and foremost lessons of the Ashram life.
  • Experience of the unity of the spirit not only among the living beings but also with the non-living objects that anticipates a compassionate attitude, which discourages a homo-centered exploitative and destructively competitive mindset. Its approach requires candid simplicity, purity and progressive creativity of the thought and action.
  • Values like dedication to one’s duties, disciplined daily chores, helpful cooperation in the group activities along with the spirit of nonviolence, honesty and empathy are the watchwords of the Ashram life.
  • The inhabitants of the Ashram are inspired to lead an eco-friendly life that is devoid of hazards of modern ways of life that treat nature in a shabbily callous way.
A large number of trainees and disciples of the Ashram are engaged in dissemination and teaching of the ideals and ideas of the ancient Indian Vedic religion and culture in many parts of India and other countries.

As a charitable non-profitable organization the Ashram runs various kinds of welfare and educational programs. All its efforts bear the mark of the pious Vedic ethos that focuses on the well being of all creatures alike that includes preservation and protection of species, too.
