Vishwayatan Yogashram – Oldest Yoga School of India ( 1952-2005)
Swami Dhirendra Brahmchari (1926-1999) one of the great masters of Hatha Yoga, established a yoga school back in 1953-54 where thousands of teachers were trained in Hatha Yoga. Majority of teachers are working in different schools, colleges, universities and own their centers. Later, the school was merged into Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Delhi, India. An estimated 30000 teachers were trained by this school, many of them also working in different countries. Yogi Bhajan, a great Kundalini master was also trained by Swami Dhirendra Brahmchari – founder of Vishwayatan Yogashram.
Acharya Girish Jha completed his Diploma in Yoga from Vishwayatan Yogashram in 1982-83 and trained over 5000 teachers as master teacher.
